Indian Society for Technical Education
The Indian Society for Technical Education is a national, professional, non-profit making Society registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. The major objective of the ISTE is to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industries and other organizations. Being the only national organization of educators in the field of Engineering and Technology, ISTE effectively contributes in various missions of the Union Government. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, CTE / DST / MIT / State Governments are well associated with the ISTE for programmers relating to technical education. The Headquarters of ISTE is located at New Delhi.

The Chapter was establised in HCE in the year 2013 with all staffs and students members. ISTE student chapter conducts various technical and non-technical events for updating their techninal knowledge. Evey year the chapter conducts various events such as seminar, workshop, Industrial visits, Techfest, competitions etc. for the faculty and students.
The ROBOTICS CLUB of the college was inaugurated in the campus on 12th August 2013 in presence of the Principal Prof. Dr. Surya Narayan Patnaik , Academic -coordinator Prof. Bijuni Ch. Sutar , Head Of The Department CSE Prof. Arpita Nibedita , Robotics Club coordinator Asst. Prof. Sangeeta Biswal ,faculty and students. “Roboticwares” a reputed institution in the realm of Robotics was invited to the college on the occasion. The institute conducted a two days workshop on 12th and 13th August 2013 in which a large number of students participated. The workshop aimed at proficiency on “BOT SUMO”. The workshop was conducted for 16 hours in two days. On the first day the students were taught the fundamentals of the robots and were given instructions on working of manual robot. The workshop continued for the second day discussing the principles and working of an automated robot. The students understood the nuances of the functioning of the automated robots. The training ended with the distribution of certificates to the participants.

The C Club of the college was inaugurated in the campus on 19th November 2014 in presence of Prof.Dr.Surya Narayan Patnaik, Vice-Principal Chittaranjan Bhoi, Academic Coordinator Prof .Bijuni Ch. Sutar, Head of the Department Prof .Arpita Nibedita, C Club Coordinator Asst. Prof. Sandeep Kumar Sahu, faculty and students. “LIT” a reputed institution in the realm of “C” Mr. Susant Ku.Rout & team was invited to the college on the occasion. The institute conducted one day seminar on 19th November 2014 in which large number of 1st year students have participated. The seminar aimed at proficiency on “Concepts of C”. The workshop conducted for 8 hours in one day. On that day the students were taught the fundamentals and implementation of c. At the end of the day a test was conducted and prizes are distributed to the winners.
